NIKA WATER WINS “MOST SIGNIFICANT IMPACT BY A BUSINESS” AWARD AT THE 1ST ANNUAL STAY CLASSY AWARDS
Less Than A Year From Launching, Altruistic Water Brand Has Committed $350,000 To Improving Underdeveloped Countries.

SAN DIEGO, CA. (November 30, 2009) - NIKA Water, a premium, eco-friendly bottled water that donates 100 percent of its profits to bringing basic needs to underdeveloped countries, received the “Most Significant Impact By A Business ” award at the 1st Annual Stay Classy Awards. Since launching in March 2009, the San Diego-based company has committed more than $350,000 in water well and school building projects in Sri Lanka, Uganda, Kenya and Nicaragua, improving the lives of more than 1,000 families.

“We’re so thankful to everyone who voted to support our cause and to Stay Classy for bringing awareness to such an incredible group of nominees,” said co-founder Jeff Church. “Winning this award is an incredible validation for NIKA that people are interested in enjoying the great taste of a premium water such as NIKA, while being able to help those less fortunate and do so in an environmentally best of class way.”

The 1st Annual Stay Classy Awards were aimed to recognize people, charities, and businesses that directly give back to the community, the ceremony brought together many of San Diego’s young business people as well as those involved in large part with global philanthropic projects. Nominated for the “Most Significant Impact by a Business Award,” NIKA was in the running against the San Diego Padres, Bank of America, the Verant Group, and Sempra Energy. The award was given based on votes from supporters and those who believe in NIKA’s mission.
